Hello,

does OS deployment via USB drive support DHCP option 121 (route)?

Hi Sébastien,

the USB key generated by WAPT is a WinPE boot key with the Windows PE DHCP client, so if it's managed by the Windows DHCP client, it should work. It's not an IPXE boot key, but rather a key with WinPE.

Have you had any issues booting from the key during a WADS deployment?

Regards,

Denis

Hello,

thank you for your feedback.
I'm looking into putting the WAPT server in a separate VLAN.
The route for this VLAN can only be specified in DHCP option 121.

I'm trying to determine if this is feasible or if I'll encounter any technical limitations.
Typically, not all PXE drivers support this option.

The generated key doesn't use PXE; it's actually an embedded WinPE OS, so there might be some issues, but not this one :-)

Sincerely,

Denis
