Good morning
I have an incomprehensible problem.
This morning, I noticed that several machines received a package (office 365) on Friday between 4pm and 4:30pm even though no one initiated their installation.
When I look in the console,
  • The package is not in the machine's dependencies
  • The "installed by" column indicates the computer name
  • The dependency graph indicates "independent package".
Furthermore, the PCs are in different OUs
In short, I don't understand.

Any ideas?

Hello,

a common mistake is trying to select the entire network with Ctrl+A, then right-clicking on Office and selecting "Install" in the right-hand pane.

This will install Office on all machines, even those that don't have it installed.

Hi,
I'm familiar with this problem; I ran into it a few years ago when I set up WAPT. :)
But when you do that, shouldn't the name of the user who performed the operation be visible in the "installed by" column?
Also, the installations were spaced out over about 30 minutes. They weren't triggered simultaneously.
