[SOLVED] Error installing package tis-microsoft-teams-uwp

Good morning,

Some computers are experiencing an error when installing the latest package tis-microsoft-teams-uwp 25332.1210.4188.1171-69

The error seems very similar to the one in this thread: viewtopic.php?t=3804

Good morning,

I'm unable to reproduce your problem in my test environment. That said, error code 0xc1570118 seems to indicate that a previous installation or uninstallation did not complete successfully.

Can you try removing the package from a station with

Code: Select all

wapt-get remove nomdupaquet
or if there is no WAPT Teams package present, use the PowerShell command

Remove-AppxProvisionedPackage -PackageName "MSTeams" -Online -AllUsers
Then restart the installation and keep us informed?

If this works, I will add the uninstallation before installation to the store package.

Hello,

after encountering the error on about sixty machines, I reverted to package version 25275.2601.4002.2815-68, which doesn't have the same issue.

I saw that a new version (26005.204.4249.1621) is in PREPROD on the store; I'll try again with that one and let you know.

I therefore have the same error with the new version of the package (26005.204.4249.1621).

Despite the WAPT installation error, the app was successfully reinstalled and is the latest version according to audit-appx. The app is also fully functional on the PC.

The uninstallation commands you suggested do not work.

If I try to uninstall package 25275.2601.4002.2815-68 from the console, I get an error:

So there might be a problem with the information being sent to WAPT for this package (?)

to follow up, the issue has finally disappeared with version 26005.213.4315.4117-71 of the teams-uwp package.

I am therefore marking this as resolved.
