Good morning,

It seems that the template package for Microsoft Store software is causing an error for 2 apps on our system at the time of creation (camera and maps):

Hello,

Could you tell me which applications you tested with? I see Windows Maps in the error, but according to articles online, this application has been removed from the Microsoft Store.
As for the second application, if it's Windows Camera, I don't get an error. I tested other applications at random, and they seem to work.
Which version of the template package are you using?

The error only occurs with the latest versions of the applications in our package.
On the Microsoft Store, it seems these latest versions don't exist, so I assume we're not getting the correct version in the package. I'll look into it and let you know.

The problem stems from the fact that there are now .emsixbundle files, a format we don't support in our code, which is why it's generating an error.
I'm still investigating whether we can use this file type and how.
In the meantime, if the applications have .msixbundle versions, I encourage you to choose those versions, as there are no issues with this format.

The emsixbundle files are encrypted and we cannot open them, so our only solution was to work around this file type.
You can find the modified tis-template-microsoft-store-app package in preproduction on the store.

Ingrid showed me a bit; some packages only contain "emsixbundle" files.

Since emsixbundle files are encrypted, you can't extract the information from them... (so you have to forget about unzipping and go directly through the Microsoft APIs)

. It's done, I have working code internally.

Now for a new problem...

an emsixbundle is apparently not installable in allusers with:

`f'Add-AppxProvisionedPackage -Online -PackagePath "{bin_path}" -SkipLicense'`

because... it doesn't seem to support it.

The solution is therefore to launch the installation of an emsixbundle in session_setup with the command:

`Add-AppPackage "{path}`.

It's getting complicated to follow...
