Hello,
I'm having trouble deploying waptdeploy.exe.
I meticulously followed the steps at: https://www.wapt.fr/fr/doc/Installation ... index.html
and I can see the GPO active on my client machine (gpresult /r /scope computer).
However, the installation fails.
I don't know where I can find other information (logs?) to debug my GPO.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Pascal

Good evening Pascal,
if the GPO is correctly reflected in the GPResult, we need to investigate why waptdeploy isn't working properly. Waptdeploy is a small executable that downloads and installs the waptagent file. As a first test, you should download waptdeploy to your computer and then run it with the same parameters you used in your GPO.
If it works, the problem is very likely related to the GPO running before the network is available. This is a typical scenario for networks that only operate over Wi-Fi. In this case, you need to create a first GPO that copies the waptagent.exe file locally to the computer, and another that executes it with the correct parameters.

Another simple solution that we will add to the documentation:
Adding waptdeploy to the computer shutdown schedule increases the likelihood of network availability at that time.
In some cases I had to use group policy to copy the waptdeploy.exe and waptagent.exe files locally to the machine.
Can I create a scheduled task "waptinstall" that executes this code:
The task will then be performed regularly.
