Hello,
I have a quick question about uninstalling the agent. Can it be done silently?
And can ALL files be deleted this way? Or will there be remnants from previous installations?
I'm currently having a major problem with the agent on several machines. The list of available packages is empty for these machines.
This means that when I schedule a package deployment, the affected machines can't find any references to install it. I therefore have to uninstall the agent, not just the service, but also delete all its contents (I answered "Yes" to both uninstallation questions).
For your information, I'm using WAPT version 1.4.3.2.
Thank you for your valuable advice.
Silent uninstallation of the agent

This partially answers my initial question.c:\wapt\unins000.exe /verysilent
WAPT 1.7.4
The `purge_wapt_dir` option should do the job. But I haven't checked if it already existed in version 1.4:
`c:\wapt\unins000.exe /verysilent /purge_wapt_dir=1`
`c:\wapt\unins000.exe /verysilent /purge_wapt_dir=1`

I checked. The /purge_wapt_dir option is not available in 1.4. Too bad.
It was introduced in 1.5.

Thanks Hubert!
Sniff! I know what we have to do!

Patrice, the other day I offered to help you with the upgrade. The offer still stands; you're too valuable not to be helped. You already have, I believe, reasonably adequate support contracts, so it's feasible.
Version 1.4 was a "special" edition, very limited in distribution, and wasn't intended for public support, especially not through this forum.
So, Patrice, give us a call, let us guide you from your current setup to the vast opportunities of version 1.6, and we'll guide you from there.
Sincerely,
Vincent
