Flash installation errors on some computers

Hello,

I'm encountering an error on several machines when installing the tis-flasplayer package. Some machines are running Windows 7 Pro, others Windows 10.

The console message is copied below.

What could be causing this error?

Another, more general question: is it possible to clear the error status on a machine once the problem has been identified?

Could you try running the command `wapt-get install -l debug stjo-flashplayer` in a cmd.exe with elevated privileges on a machine that has this problem in order to get a more precise stack trace?.

Was the `wapt-get install` command run from an elevated cmd.exe directory (check with `whoami /groups` -> label required\Elevated level required)? It seems to be the case; otherwise, access to the `waptdb.sqlite` database would likely have been denied.

Could you please check the permissions on the AdobeFlashPlayerUpdateSvc service?

Ultimately, I can't run the command "sc.exe sdshow AdobeFlashPlayerUpdateSvc".
I receive the message "access denied". Note that I am logged in as administrator on the machine and that I am launching cmd.exe with the "run as administrator..." option.

I imagine the error message received during the Flash package installation stems from this, but why can't I run the sc.exe command on these machines?

Is the service listed in services.msc? Could you please check the permissions graphically for this service, if it exists?.

During the Flash Player package installation, the package removes the auto-update service if it exists. The problem here appears to be an incorrect Security Descriptor...

When a command crashes, it's much more helpful to provide the exact command line and its output in "code" blocks. This also allows you to have the return code and other information.
