Hello,

I would like to add a taskbar shortcut to the Firefox 60.5.2 package after installation.

It seems I need to go to "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar" for both Windows 7 and Windows 10 machines.

What would be the correct "create_shortcut" command to include in setup.py?

Thank you in advance.

Dylan

Hello,
the problem with creating a shortcut like this
(C:\Users\%USERNAME%\)
is that you have to copy as many shortcuts as you have users you've created.
What about future users? They won't have them.
Look here: https://docs.microsoft.com/fr-fr/window ... 10-taskbar

On the contrary, with a "session_setup", it can be done very simply, and it will even work with new users.

See https://www.wapt.fr/fr/doc/wapt-create- ... index.html

Thanks, I didn't know that.
Interesting.
So, if I understand correctly, for this to work, I need to configure the package and add a GPO calling this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\wapt\wapt-get.exe session-setup ALL?
Is that right?

If you really want to use a GPO, why not, it's just that you're complicating your life without any obvious benefit.

Take a look at https://store.wapt.fr/store/details-tis ... OD_de.waptThis should give you some inspiration.

Sincerely.

There's no need to create a GPO; during the WAPT installation, a shortcut to the session setup will be automatically created in: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp

Hello,

thank you for your various replies.

Regarding session_setup, I hadn't realized it was possible to create a shortcut in the taskbar; could you perhaps provide an example?
