Hello,
I would like to know if there is a backup and restore script for Samba4 that covers the entire database and repositions the domain's SID.
It's mentioned on the Samba website, but I can't find it in your package.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Eric

Hello,
If you have two domain controllers (DCs) in replication, your second DC will be synchronized with the first and will serve as a simple backup.
If your DC1 has a problem, you will recreate it with Debian or equivalent and Samba, and then resynchronize DC1 from DC2 by joining DC2 with your new domain.
Above all, never restore a DC from a snapshot if synchronization already exists.
If no synchronization is in place, a simple snapshot of the primary DC will suffice as a backup.
Sincerely,
Vincent
