The packages for Buster were added to the build chain this week [1]. The installation procedure should be identical to that for Stretch, as documented in the official wapt documentation. The officially recommended Debian version remains Debian Stretch for now, pending further feedback.

Sincerely,

Denis

Okay, thanks for the info. What exactly do you mean by "build chain"?

Thanks.

Hello Slena,

We have an internal buildbot [1] that builds executables (waptconsole.exe, wapttray.exe, etc.) and InnoSetup installers (waptsetup.exe, waptserversetup.exe), as well as Linux packages (deb jessie/stretch/buster, deb ubuntu bionic/disco, and rpm centos7), with a separate buildslave for each OS type. We recently added a Debian Buster buildslave. The build pipeline also performs basic unit tests.

Sincerely,

Denis

Same here.

I've migrated almost all my Debian servers to version 10 (Buster) – the WAPT server remains.
I'm waiting for your feedback to know if any special precautions are necessary.

Have a good day.

WAPT Debian Buster packages are available in the official TIS repositories. You need to modify the files /etc/apt/sources.list and /etc/apt/sources.list.d/tiswapt.list and run the upgrade.

Sincerely,

Denis
