Hello,
I'm a new WAPT user and I'm encountering the following problem:
When opening the console (1.7.4.6165) (Windows 7 Pro), and while using it, I consistently get the message that the MSVCR80.dll file is missing from my computer.
What version is required and can it be downloaded?
Thank you.
Wapt console - MSVCR80.dll

Wapt normally installs "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005", which installs the DLL.
You can also install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 yourself:

Hello,
thank you, but despite reinstalling, I still have the problem. Do you know where the DLL is supposed to be located?
I have several copies in subfolders of C:\Windows\winsxs\ (including the one from today's reinstallation date), but none in C:\Windows\System32....

For your information, the application (including package deployment) works, but every time I click the mouse, I get an error pop-up window:
"The program can't start because msvcr80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling it..."
which I have to close each time to continue. It's annoying.

Hello Greywander,
if you're only experiencing the problem you describe on this one machine in your network, it doesn't seem unreasonable to suggest reformatting it, as the OS on that machine appears to have a problem somewhere.
As they say in the jargon: when in doubt, reboot; if that fails, format!
Regards,
VC

Yes, I installed the console on another PC (Windows 2008 R2) without any problems.
Oh well, I'll keep looking out of curiosity.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely.
