I'm still stuck on applying GPOs via the samba4 (4.8.3) AD man page.
The GPOs are applied once when the client joins the domain, but on subsequent startups, no GPOs are applied. I really don't understand why.
If I force the GPOs (gpupdate /force), there are no problems, but at startup, no GPOs are applied.
I'm considering the DNS; I'm using Samba's internal DNS, and in my logs before the GPOs are applied, I get a dynamic name update error. Do you think this could be the cause?
Is it absolutely necessary to install BIND for it to work correctly?

If there are so many views and no replies, it might simply be because the problem you're experiencing is difficult to reproduce and no one has a solution to offer.
Tranquil IT and its community try to provide help and support as much as possible, but some issues cannot be resolved without accessing the problematic infrastructure.
However, accessing the infrastructure also implies a contract defining the scope of the intervention.
