Hello,

I'm having a problem with WaptMessage and I have two additional questions:

1 - When I send a message via WaptMessage from the command line by calling "waptmessage.exe test", I correctly see "test" displayed, but when I send it from the console, I receive "test" followed on the next line by my certificate name.

2 - Could you please tell me how to change the WaptMessage logo?

3 - I see that `waptmessage -f file` allows reading the contents of a file and enables line breaks. Is it possible to do this from the console? Or in the future, will it be possible to have this feature, for example, instead of an input field in the console, an edit option that, upon validation, would be sent to a temporary text file before being called by WaptMessage?

Wapt version: 1.8.2.7269
Server OS: Linux Debian
Console OS: Windows 10

Thank you in advance,
Sincerely,
Jérôme

Yes, it's hardcoded in the Wapt code; I'll look into changing that in the next version

We used the same logo as the self-service area: https://www.wapt.fr/fr/doc/wapt-usage/w ... ganization

Today, technically, the message in the console is converted to base64 using `waptmessage -b "djdeza="`

Do you want to pass a file directly into the console?

Hi Simon, this is Jérôme from the Abbeville Hospital.

Thanks for your replies. I just replaced the logo in the indicated location, but the old one is still displayed. Do I need to restart my console, my agent, or something on the server to refresh?
Edit: I also have the default logo in the self-service area.

Regarding point 3, what's missing is the ability to insert line breaks from the console.
For example, internally, I developed a small graphical interface in AutoIt to use the Windows `msg` function, providing an edit box that allows line breaks. Once validated, I save the content of the edit box to a text file, and then I call my function, retrieving the file's contents so that the line breaks are interpreted:
`msg *`
. I tested it; you have the equivalent, which works perfectly, with `waptmessage.exe -f "my_file.txt"`.

Hello Jérôme

I just tried it and it works for me (1.8.2)

Are you sure you have that file there?

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files (x86)\wapt\templates\waptself-logo.png
The line break issue will be fixed in a future version. Line breaks will be possible ;)

Hi Simon,

I thought it needed to be uploaded to the server, not the client machine.
So it works fine now, I'll distribute the new logo via a WAPT package.

Thanks for that and for the line breaks.

Hello,

my colleague and I have just noticed that certain characters are not accepted when sending messages. For example, if there are accented characters like "é" or quotation marks, no action is initiated.
Similarly, the ability to add a title would be a plus.
Also, it would be helpful to be able to send a message by right-clicking on an OU (Organizational Unit) without having to press Ctrl+A on all the computers in the OU.

Sincerely,
