I use WAPT Starter to quickly update the computers of relatives who are not comfortable with administering a personal computer (and to teach them how to do it as simply as I do on my Debian with Synaptic).
Recently, an update to tis-ultracopter was problematic (error loop, update impossible, subsequently marked as uninstalled while still displaying a pending update notification). I was able to resolve the issue by uninstalling Ultracopier from the "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features" window and installing the new version (2.2.4.8-6) from WAPT Self-Service (Starter).
However, if I had needed to ask for help on this forum, I would have been very hard-pressed to Copy the details of the current task that appear below the progress bar into the "Taskbar" pane when an error occursIndeed, the area is not resizable (only the table above it is) It lacks scroll bars and, most importantly, does not allow copy-pasting. The overhanging right and lower sections become illegible.
Example :
Code: Select all
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Program Files (x86)\wapt\waptservice\service.[suite illisible]
line 1890, in run
self running task run()[ligne devinée grâce au haut des lettres]
Can we expect a modification to the WAPT Self-service window that corrects the problem described above?
Out of curiosity: on the "Team" page of the Tranqui IT website, I don't see any staff with UX/UI designer skills, and this position doesn't appear on the "Join Us" page either What do you think of this type of job and do you see any use for improving WAPT? (Personally, on the Fediverse, I have been able to observe the qualitative improvement of several projects that have recruited staff with these skills: it's exceptional!).
