Hello everyone,

Because you've been following us for a while and have been a great support in the development of WAPT, we owe you an explanation of what's happening at Tranquil IT.

There will be some changes in 2021.As

you probably know, we are currently in the midst of developing the next versions of WAPT, whether it's WAPT 1.9 or even WAPT 2.0. We are working hard to design the features you've been waiting for: switching to Python 3, multi-server refactoring, ACL management, and many other features that we will be happy to present to you in the coming weeks.

We have always wanted WAPT to be useful to as many people as possible. It was this desire that led us to open source and the free software movement for over 8 years with WAPT Community. A great adventure!

But alas, all good things must come to an end... After realizing that WAPT had no external contributors, we decided to evolve our software model. And so begins another great adventure! Tranquil IT will therefore cease its contribution to WAPT Community to evolve in a different direction with its Enterprise version and the creation of a Discovery version (a proprietary and limited version, though still free).

WAPT Community 1.8.2 will not disappear, but you will simply become the masters of this version and its development. We're not abandoning you like that; we'll remain available to support you during its transition until mid-2021.

The major changes will take place starting in January 2021, but we wanted to give you advance notice, in complete transparency, so you can prepare. We know that for some, the end of the year signals the time for making decisions for the coming year, so if we can help you, contact us at +33 2 40 97 57 55.

In any case, we are very proud of what we have been able to accomplish so far with and thanks to you. Thank you for being part of this community and for your interest in our company and its software!

See you soon!
