Hello,
I have a Debian 10 server, version 2.0.0.9301,
and I want to upgrade the machines to version 21H1.
I downloaded the tis-windows10-upgrade fr package, and
I can successfully create the final package for French using the French ISO from Microsoft. However, I can't do it for English (en-US) using the English ISO.
There must be something I'm missing, but I can't figure out what.
When I download the "en" package, add the "en-us" ISO, perform the upgrade and build-up,
but when I try to apply it to a machine, it tells me it will be ignored because the file is not found
(the file is definitely present on the server).
Thank you for your help.

Hello,
if I let the ISO download via the Microsoft utility, it doesn't work. I have to use the EN-US ISO, which is only available in VLSC; they are not the same.
I also had this problem related to the OS installation language, which might be EN-GB instead of EN-US, and in that case, it considers the upgrade to be in the wrong language.
Finally, the problem also occurs on operating systems where a language pack has been installed; it also fails there.
Try again with an EN-US ISO from VLSC to see if that resolves the issue, and double-check the exact language of the OS in question.
Also, be aware that upgrading from version 1800xx to 1900xx won't work. Only versions 1900xx can be upgraded (2004 to 20H2 or 2004 to 21H1.4). At least, that's how it works for us; we had to redeploy, rather than upgrade, a number of workstations that were running version 1800xx.
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
David.

Hello,
the ISOs come from my Microsoft MyVisual account.
My problem isn't with the update itself (FYI: all the machines are running Windows 2004)
, but with creating the WATP package.
I created the package for the French version without any problem using the tis-windows10-upgrade version fr package from the Microsoft Store.
Then I took the English version of the tis-windows10-upgrade package with the English-US ISO, performed the upgrade so it would extract, and then the build-up.
The package arrives successfully on the WATP server, but when I try to assign it to a machine (via the console), that's when I get a message saying the package will be ignored because it's not found.

Are the computers natively in English (US), or are they in another language with a language pack installed?
