WAPT 1.6 is finally available in a stable version After 6 months of development, this is an incremental version compared to 1.5, bringing you over a hundred fixes to ensure greater fluidity, simplicity, and efficiency.
WAPT 1.6 improvements
- Improved performance: a single WAPT server can serve more than 5k agents without the need for clustering
- Partial inventory upload: the agent no longer uploads its inventory every time. Less load on the client side and less load on the server side + better stream compression
- Improved agent responsiveness with better threading management and the replacement of zeromq with long polling
- Improved handling of Windows encodings. You have Chinese characters in your registry? No problem!
- Refactoring the Python environment for better isolation from system installations
- WAPT's Python dependencies, including eventlet, python-socketio, and websocket-client, have been updated to fix borderline cases
- The installation procedure has been redesigned with the creation of a simplified wizard for installing and initially configuring the console and server
- Fleet auditing functionality (Enterprise only)
- Windows Update Management (Enterprise only, Tech-preview)
To update from version 1.5 to 1.6, follow minor update documentation.
Also remember to update your PyScripter package.
