Hello,

As a relatively new WAPT user, I noticed the option to connect directly via VNC to machines with the agent installed.
However, I haven't found any documentation clearly explaining how to enable this option.
I then tried installing TightVNC on one of my machines, and the "connect via VNC" option was available and worked.
I then tried using UltraVNC instead of TightVNC, but strangely, the option is no longer available.

Does anyone have any information on how this option works?

Best regards,

Luc

Hi Luc,

In the WaptConsole, I believe the "VNC connection" menu looks for an executable named %PROGRAMFILES32%\tightvnc\tvnviewer.exe. This was implemented for a specific use case and is not configurable. If you absolutely need to use UltraVNC, I think renaming the directory and files to match TightVNC should do the trick. Another option would be to contribute a patch to address this use case.

Best regards,

Denis
