Hello everyone,
WAPT 1.8.1, Debian Buster server, client running Ubuntu 18.04
I'm trying to create a package under Linux by following the documentation: https://www.wapt.fr/fr/doc/wapt-create- ... index.html

By executing the command:

Code: Select all

wapt-get make-template <nom_du_paquet>
On the client machine I have VS Code 1.44.1 installed.
I have permissions denied and database in readonly mode.
You need to install tis-vscode from the wapt repositories, but there's no Linux version. I installed it from the console.
Also, I don't understand the sentence "your user is named 'youruser' and is part of the sudoers group." There is no sudoers group. My user is indeed part of the sudo group, and I've added it as root in /etc/sudoers, but the problem persists.
I must have missed something.

Hello,

"sudoers" is a misnomer (it's the name of the file containing the sudo configuration), but here we're referring to the sudo group (just for configuring the package development machine). There have been many fixes for the agent under Linux and package development in git master. I don't have a nightly community build handy, we'll see about pushing one to wapt.tranquil.it (or you can build one from GitHub). With the latest version, it's really as simple as under Windows. :-)

Best regards,

Denis

Hello, sudo is fine, I had my doubts.

How do you build the agent?
I did a git clone https://github.com/tranquilit/WAPT
and I followed the instructions https://www.wapt.fr/fr/doc/wapt-contrib ... -wapt.html at the end.
That doesn't seem to be it, because it builds tis-server and a tis-repo and no tis-waptagent, I tried waptservice but I have version errors on gitdb and gitdb2, I am xubuntu 18.04.
