Hello
, I'm contacting you because I'm having trouble setting up the self-service feature on a WAPT 1.8.1 enterprise server.
In Active Directory, I created a group,
added some users
, and created the package and self-service instance, respecting the group name as shown in the video.
I deployed the package to the group's user workstations.

Despite all this, when I launch the self-service instance on one of the deployed workstations, all the packages appear instead of the ones I selected.

Do you have any ideas?

Thank you
. Sincerely,
Emmanuel

Hi Emmanuel,

either the agent is still in the community version, or you have local admin privileges on the machine. By default, since local administrators can install anything, there are no limitations at this level. If you want the rules to apply in the same way to local admins on the machines, you need to configure the `waptservice_admin_filter` attribute in the `wapt-get.ini` configuration file. See:

https://www.wapt.fr/fr/doc/wapt-usage/w ... elfservice

To automatically add the parameter to your machines, you can refer to the following package: https://store.wapt.fr/store/tis-wapt-conf-policy

Happy Wapt!

Thanks Denis,
I'm not an admin on my computer, so I assume my agent is still the community version... how can I verify this?

Thanks in advance,
Best regards,
Emmanuel

Hello Emmanuel,
we can see it launching the WAPT console, or we can simply check that we have a directory c:\program files (x86)\wapt\waptenterprise.
See you soon,
Denis

According to the code,

in Community or Enterprise, if you see all the packages, it is either because your user is a member of the machine administrators group, or because they are a member of the waptselfservice group.

Thank you, you found it! :)
I had created a group called Waptserfservice...
renaming it works perfectly!

Thank you so much for your help!
Emmanuel
