I was using your tool for Samba domain controller sysvol synchronization under Ubuntu 16.04. It worked perfectly!
I'm trying to use it under Ubuntu 20.04, but it seems the code is unfortunately not compatible with Python 3. Do you have a more recent version that is compatible with Python 3?
