Hello everyone,
I currently have an old Samba 3.x server in NT4 mode that uses the LDAP backend for user/computer management. I also use LDAP for internal web applications, VPNs, RADIUS, etc.
After quite a bit of testing to migrate my entire PC fleet to Samba AD with the internal user database (not LDAP), I have one last question: how can I get my applications to communicate with the Samba AD user database?
I've searched extensively but haven't been able to find any documentation explaining how to do this, or even if it's possible.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Samba in Active Directory mode provides a default LDAP service. Compared to your previous LDAP authentication configurations, there will be a change in the baseDN and possibly some attributes, but it shouldn't fundamentally change how it works.
Regards,
Denis
