Hello everyone,
I have several machines with a DISCONNECTED status even though they are online.
When accessing them remotely, running "wapt-get update" and "wapt-get upgrade" on one of them (Windows 10 Pro) updates the package list and installs the packages correctly.
It also updates the console, setting the package status to OK, but the machine remains DISCONNECTED!

and viewtopic.php?p=3977.)
The machine and server time are correct, and restarting the WAPTService or resetting the WebSockets hasn't resolved the issue.
In the logs after restarting the WAPTService, there is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\wapt\wapt-get.exe (2023-06-22 09:38:30)

Do you know where this comes from? Can he come?
Thank you for your help.

Hello,
could you please try the following commands on a computer:
`net stop waptservice`
(this will delete the files C:\Program Files (x86)\wapt\log\waptservicestate and C:\Program Files (x86)\wapt\log\waptservicestate.html) and
`net start waptservice`
? Regards,

Hello x-davidl,
Thank you for your reply.
Indeed, this resolved the issue; the agent reconnected successfully and is now reachable in the console.
What are these files for?
Do you think I can generalize this method to all workstations, reachable or not, by creating a GPO to stop the WAPT services and delete these files?
Thank you
. Best regards,
Davy

Hello,
I was also given that procedure...
yes, you can do it on a case-by-case basis. WAPT is robust enough that you'll only need this procedure for the few machines that appear disconnected.
The problem with GPO is that it's too drastic and systematic, unless you have several dozen disconnected machines.
I'll leave it to the moderators to explain the purpose of these files

Hello DavyMagnand and x-davidl,
thank you for your feedback.
We had some obscure bugs with this file that blocked startup (even though it shouldn't...). It's possible there was a conflict between WAPT and antivirus software.
We finally removed it in WAPT version 2.5. So, it shouldn't happen again once you've upgraded.
Sincerely,
Denis
