Hello,
I need to encrypt information within a package (specifically, a password).
Currently, I'm using a technique I saw in the documentation (I think): I use `update_package` to encrypt the information with each machine's certificate, and the data is saved in a .json file within the package and decrypted during installation.
The problem is that every time a machine is added to WAPT, I have to run `update_package` to update the .json file.
I'd like to know if there are other methods for encrypting information within a package that wouldn't require updating the package itself.
Sincerely,
Guillaume

Hello Guillaume,
If you create a WAPT configuration package that does not contain the binary and calls the WAPT package containing the binary as a dependency, then your password package will be much lighter and you will only need to do an update_package on the configuration package, the package containing the binary will only be updated when a new version of the binary becomes available.

Hello Vincent,
Thank you for your reply.
I actually have a large network where machines are regularly added and removed.
I do use a very lightweight configuration package to transmit the password.
What I'm looking for is an encrypted method that would allow me to transmit this password without having to run the update_package every time there's a change in my network.
