Which version of Windows are you using for VMware Tools?
And the contents of your tis-vmware-tools package do indeed contain the following data in the setup.py file:

The setup.py file provided in the forum works; I tested it by recreating the package.
However, this modification is not included in the tis-vmwaretools package in your repository.
(I removed the package from my private repository, then re-downloaded it, and then edited it.)
