Hello,

I have a quick question regarding machine deployment.

I'm using WAPT Enterprise 2.6.1.17 on DEB13 and I'm a Windows 11 administrator. I've installed the following packages on the machine where the console is located:

requirement-minimal-x64
, wapt-adkwinpe
, and wapt-microsoft-adk.

Despite this, the deployment tab remains grayed out. I've probably missed or misunderstood a step.

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I think OS deployment hasn't been enabled. You can rerun the script /opt/wapt/waptserver/scripts/postconf.sh on your WAPT server and answer "yes" to enable OS deployment.

This script reconfigures the entire server; it is in production.

There's no risk in running this script again. You just need to know if you're using Kerberos, WADS, and Windows Updates so you don't disable those features if they're in use.

Enable WADS secure authentication (can this setting be changed later?)

If you enable WADS secure authentication, it will require a password on the workstation during deployment. It's up to you whether you need this, knowing that you can change this setting later by running the postconf script again.
