Hello,
We are trying to update the FortiClient VPN software (the fleet is currently on version 7.0.8.0427) to the available package wapt-forticlient-vpn 7.2.4.972-20 but it is not working.
Here is the error message:
Removing: FortiClient VPN (7.2.4.0972)
Waiting for the removal of key: {48C586C9-3199-4E5D-BFC3-88CD8EC35066} from Windows registry
INFO: Reboot is required to avoid error 1603 with FortiClient VPN
Installing: FortiClient_extract\FortiClient.msi (7.2.4.0972)
Waiting for key: {48C586C9-3199-4E5D-BFC3-88CD8EC35066} to appear in Windows registry.
The consequence is that the old version is still present on the machines and prevents the VPN connection. Uninstalling version 7.0.8 removes the client configurations.
Do you have a solution?

I'm here to look at the package
We uninstall (or at least try to uninstall) what has exactly the name "FortiClient VPN"
Moreover, we can see the message:
This is a sign that it has entered the uninstallation loop
Your log doesn't indicate an error, it's error 1603?
I also see that at the end of the package, there's an option to reinstall an associated Forti configuration package to reinstall a configuration

Here's what the log shows:
"Installing: FortiClient_extract\FortiClient.msi (7.2.4.0972)

and the audit is failing
to reinstall the configuration; it needs to recover the existing configuration from the previous installation.
