Good morning,

I am trying to install the WAPT agent on an older version of macOS (El Capitan 10.11.6)
Here is the message I get in the console:

Code: Select all

$ sudo wapt-get register
dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: _getentropy
Referenced from: /opt/wapt/lib/libpython3.8.dylib
Expected in: /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib

dyld: Symbol not found: _getentropy
Referenced from: /opt/wapt/lib/libpython3.8.dylib
Expected in: /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib
Thank you in advance if you have any leads.

Hi Yohan,

the WAPT agent for macOS is only available from Mojave (macOS 10.14) onwards. You should look into upgrading your OS.

Note: even if your machine doesn't officially support newer versions of macOS, you can try upgrading using https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Pos ... pdate.html

Hello Denis,

Thank you for the feedback.
This machine was a test machine, I'll check on our network if the other Macs are newer and up-to-date.
I'll get back to you if needed.

Yohan.

Hi Yohan,
thanks for your feedback. As I mentioned earlier, you can follow the GitHub page linked in my previous post to install a more recent version of macOS on your machine. I don't know how it performs in everyday use, but I've seen that it works quite well on a test machine.
Best regards,
Denis
